LOW COST COMMUNITY FLU CLINICSFlu season is almost here! The El Dorado County Health Services Department is offering seasonal flu vaccines at low cost through a series of community flu clinics over the next several weeks. Health care providers recommend that people get an annual flu vaccination to provide the best protection. Both the nasal mist and flu shot will be available at the community flu clinics. The cost of the vaccine is only $10, but the fee can be waived if there is a financial hardship. The Tdap (whooping cough) booster vaccine is also available at the flu clinics for $10. Parents should bring their child’s immunization record to the flu clinics. For the dates, times, and locations of the flu clinics, call the flu hotline at (530) 621-6188 or visit the Health Services Department website at www.edcgov.us/publichealth. HOME + SCHOOL = SUCCESS |
